The Importance of Technical Skills in Recruitment

I'm very passionate about trying to reform how we go about communicating the relevant skills for a role. I think it only serves to penalize people who don't want to BS their way through interviews and applications. People will lie. And they've done so because they've had the confidence to big up certain skills or experiences in other areas, where other people don't wanting to do that. When I've gone through a round of recruitment, I score people on their passion for cybersecurity and information security. That self-study and the attitude is so much more important than all these acronyms and certifications that you've got.
