Ep. 06: Surgical Strikes
The Seen and the Unseen - hosted by Amit Varma
00:00
Introduction
In September, four terrorists attacked an Indian Army Brigade headquarters in Uri near the line of control between India and Pakistan. Narendra Modi's government had spoken like hawks on the campaign trail but this attack was a step too far. Eleven days after the Uri attacks, the Indian government carried out what it described as surgical strikes against terrorist launch pads across the border in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. In today's episode, Amit Bhadma will discuss both the intended effect and the unintended consequences of the military action.
