A lot of my job is to educate and work with the various functions that compose a product team, most notably engineering. So as a PM, I own the why. Why are we doing this? Why is it this the thing that we're choosing to do? As an engineer, you own the how. And then together we collaborate on the what. That's typically how I describe the marriage of responsibility.
