Protein fat and carbs are the three big macronutrients okay so protein fat and carbs. A calorie of protein makes you feel fuller than a calorie of fat than a calories of carb in that orderOkay one calorie one exact calorie and so the question is why there are two different reasons because protein is a more complex for your body to digest to break down as it travels further down the gut. For every 100 calories of protein that you eat we only ever absorb on average 70 calories because it takes 30 calories 30 percent to actually of energy given off as heat to take apart and metabolize protein.
