The Politics of Language

Linguists are debating whether languages die out naturally or if they're pushed out by imperialism. English is the best example of that, and it's been happening a lot on African continent. Linguist: It can be patronizing to say you should speak your language because my language, English, is imperialistic. "Trans-languageing" means simultaneous use of different languages together.
