The Importance of Stimulating Reps

The only way to really truly count hypertrophy volume is to count repetitions that are very close to failure those last five. So if they were doing reps away from getting the task failure. That means they were actually getting very few stimulating reps, maybe sometimes not at all. And so we actually do a relatively low volume when we do a ton of sets with four and a half reps in reserve. It has to be a stable machine I think you start trying to do it with with free weights it becomes much much more challenging I think.
