The Relationship Between Number and Geometry
Greek mathematicians often thought of numbers as geometrical, like square numbers and so on. Did they actually think that numbers were spatial extensions sometimes or is that an oversimplification? It's also probably significant that even in Euclid's elements in the books devoted to arithmetic there are diagrams. So if there is a connection between the two you've found a way of unifying arithmetic and geometry.
