There are never any vistas in this film. Everything asit is, very close up. The thing about the weirdness of the rides for me is tat there are so many things that feel so artificial. We are supposed to actually mourn rufio's death, but we're also supposed to cheer people rolling over each other,. Yet, the tone, tone is weird. I thought the deaths and their sword fights were em again, because this is a kid's movie. But like, ok, now aren't there a named thud butt deletas, rightdnd? It all is mitigated by the fact that this is somehow a confabulatory, imagined space here.
