The recommendations are least ipsilateral, usually bilateral central nectasection, even prophylactic. With a castus one and a 1700, I don't think it's unreasonable if you want to do a quick needle biopsy in a contralateral neck just to confirm whether that level two lymph node is metastatic or not.
