Is Keystone Genes Really a Simple Gene?
The concept of the Keystone gene is that simple variation, or constrained variation in a simple gene can have cascading effects. So you've got one locus that in one species of plant, you're calling it 'Keystone' But there are other keystones like people think about Keystone genes, but not as you've talked about them. The system seems like an unbelievably cool example of how genetic community manifesting to each other.
