Ogogo Singers - A History of Country Music
The ogogo singers got a handful of dates around the folk scene. They became friendly with another singer playing the same circuit, grand parsons. Parsons convinced both stills and fiore to start paying more attention to what was coming out of nashville and bakers field. The market for big folk on sumblls dried up, more or less overnight when the beetles hit the usic scene. But several of the group decided they were going to continue anyway, and formed a group called the company. And they went on a tour of canada. Their support act was a rock band called the squires.
