God Relented

In the Old Testament, God doesn't speak a word of judgment that is final and cannot be changed. Jeroboam starts out as a Moses figure to deliver his people from the oppression of Rehoboam who had been oppressing them like a taskmaster. Well, then he becomes an errand. And here at the very end, instead of his child living,  his child dies. So it's a sad ending to something that could have been much different.
