The Rise of Cotton Mills in India

By the late 19th century cotton mills were developing in Bombay using cheap labor, but also machinery. The key person here is another Parsis o'erastian Tata who built the cotton mills in Nagpur. There's also a rise of jute spinning and weaving in Calcutta, in part finance and operated by British firms. This development of these industries, jute and cotton, is going to have a major impact on politics within Britain itself.
