The Texas Governor's Proclamation to Pardon Daniel Perry
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is pushing that state's patrol parole board to recommend a pardon for Daniel Perry. He is the army sergeant who is convicted of murder on Friday for shooting and killing a protester during a Black Lives Matter demonstration in 2020. The district attorney in Austin, Texas says that the government the intervention from Governor Greg Abbott in this case already is quote, deeply troubling. I wonder how the victims families are responding because this happened right after the jury verdict came in.
