The Mystery of the Grail
Elden Ring won Game of the Year for 2022, which I think it probably deserved. We kind of covered the entire game, at least touched on almost every aspect. However, Vittruvio and I read the Mystery of the Grail by Julius Evola in preparation for this episode. And we're both convinced that Miyazaki and Martin perhaps didn't read the Evola book, but they certainly must have had the Grail cycle in mind. There's also a lot of parallels with Tolkien's Silmarillion, which we will touch on, but we won't get too in depth because it's really just sort of a peripheral thing.
