Spank and the Band: A Celebration of Filipino Culture
This was high peak disco. They were in sparkling vests with no sleeves underneath, leather pants, all sorts of colors. Their outfits had sequins on them. And they danced, they went up and on the stage. This was bright, this was big, this was very flamboyant. It reflected not just disco culture, but also Filipino culture. Filipinos take pride in our brightness.
