Justinian's corpus of Roman law basically lies buried. Gratian rediscovers the Justinian works of law and resurrects this in Bologna. He compiles what he calls the Corpus Eurus Canoneci, the body of canon laws. And then he puts together a textbook, the Concordance of Discordant Canons.
