Youkno: Cells are bounded by er membranes, and they tend to be pretty complicated structures. But it turns out that you can make very similar membranes for much simpler molecules - things like soap. We've been getting better at copying orna sequences. On the other hand, getting rna sequences to replicate is a much harder problem. And we have ideas about how to do it, but we haven't gotten there yet.
