The Complications of Dwelling Pleural Catheter

Pleurodesis and dwelling pleural catheter are two potential management issues. One of the most common complications that I would want my patients now is one infection. The second potential complication would be catheter blockage or malfunction so we asked our patients to call us if their output drops less than 50ccs 30 times in a row.
