How Did You Know You Were a Naturalist?
I was a child fascinated by the natural world who as most children do thought that I could understand what the world meant. So as a naturalist, I recorded all my sightings of birds and mammals,. I mapped the garden in our suburban South Yorkshire house and plotted on my maps the flight paths of the birds. And I progressed, if it is progression, from asking how does this work to what does this mean? What does this entail? Whatdoes this mean for the way that I should live?"
