How Can I Use This Idea From a Video and Use It for My Own Content?

There are some videos that just pop up in my recommender where i'm just like this is so little to do with what i do for a job. There have been moments where i've made entire videos based off ideas from like three or four completely unrelated videos. The rarer thing is finding someone who's completely fucking original right?
