What Is Platonic Orientalism?

The term Platonic Orientalism was coined by a specialist of the medieval Islamic mystic Surah Vardy John Walbridge but I took it up in my own way. It is a widespread idea in antiquity especially in late antiquity in the Hellenistic period so then we're talking about centuries let's say before and after the birth of Christ. Plato understood as somebody who gives a wisdom and religious or spiritual if you want. The ancients are including under what they call philosophy things that we would call religion. In other words the ancients are saying no Plato is a philosopher and that includes visions.
