The Importance of Transparency

For me, ethics is not about what the app accomplishes. If you want to read the Bible more, then you use that app and it's transparent about it. But if you look at Facebook, for example, I don't sign up for Facebook to consume advertising. Whereas Facebook exists through selling advertising. When it boils down to it, they're reliant on revenue from me consuming advertising.
