Consciousness Without Language
There re very few examples of consciousness without language. So they they often involve appalling abuse. And so the cases are very tragic. I'm totally with you and with genifer on this. It seems to me one can have very complex and profound consciosness as a human being within a society that is dominated by language. When ehare thinking of thinking more, of say, the bees or what, who have communication systems, but not that kind of self consciousness?
