How to Carve Channels for Public Opinion
Schivalbush begins with leadership. Hitler, musellini and roosevelt were seen as examples of plebicite base leadership who came to power by varying but thoroughly legal means. All three were considered post liberal, state capitalist or state socialist stems. Schivelbush points out that the perception we have from speech, excepts of hitler simply ranting, is wrong. His speeches started and ended calmly, in deliberate structure - just like roosevelt's fireside chats.
