Is the Grail a Christian Legend?
Some have speculated that maybe the grail is essentially a celtic christian legend, and that this may then be an explanation for the supposed secret words that are passed on along with the grail. The knights templar are known to have practised rites of initiation, like most chivalric orders did. And these rites of initiation were massively blown up and distorted in rumors and in defamatory accusations. There seems to be some sort of connection between the grail myth and the dispute over the meaning of the eucharist.
