Plato's Lifelong Defence of Socrates

Gorgas was a well known and respected teacher of rhetoric from leontini in sicily, about 20 miles from syracuse. He travelled around the greek world and taught young men for pretty considerable sums of money. Gorgias claims that rhetoric can enchant, persuade and change the souls of men. We don't know for sure if it's true that he dedicates a gold statue of himself to apollo at delphi. So he'sed. Yes, he's a legend in his own eyes, at any rate.
