Some studies have suggested that these drugs are linked with an increased risk of dementia. But as study of nearly 19 thousand patients over age 65 in the us in australia found that wasn't the case. Study looked at cognitive decline without dementia and other things, and there was just no evidence of an association. Also did not find an association with greater duration of use.
