Altruism and Malaria
It's just easier to not care when it's out of sight, out of mind, which is kind of what the trauma or the indifference we have towards either the trauma we inflict on. And so that's true for people in other countries who you may never interact with or meet the thousands of children that die of malaria every day. It's also true, as I argue in my book, what we are the future for the people who are yet to come. Sure. But we don't pay the much attention or barely any attention at all because they're not around to lobby for the infests. There's a kind of all be gone, you'll be gone, this to it.
