For those of you who follow us on social media, you might notice that we use the hashtag: #dontliveinyourparentsbasement. And I kind of thought of the slogan because it creates this image in my mind of independence, precisely Financial Independence (FI). And that's really what the podcast revolves around. So today we're going to take a deep dive into the words 'financial independence', and 'retiring early' with Shang Saavedra of "Save my Cents" on the podcast today. She is a real example of someone who's achieved FI by the age of 31; work optional and has a seven figure net worth! In addition to this, she's built a massive Instagram following of 49,000 follower where she shares advice on achieving FI and living a money savvy life, where she says wealth is a mindset. Shang has been seen in Forbes, Yahoo Finance, USA Today among many other publications. I'm super excited to learn more about her journey, learn about emergency funds, and how she got to be financially independent.
