I Do Not Permit a Woman to Teach or to Assume Authority Over a Man
The word translated like in the niv it's translated as to assume authority right so it says or we're back in chapter two yeah at first 12 says I do not permit a woman to teach or assume authority over a man she must be quiet that's niv esv for instance. In traditional interpretation as you see in both of these translations it's essentially assumed as positive. That's crazy it's like the opposite of how that stuff gets used. It makes it really difficult to know what a word means and for a long time in traditional interpretation it’s essentially assumed as negative.
