In 1949, Leo Strauss gave six lectures under the auspices of the Walgreens Foundation. They were eventually published as his book, Natural Writing History that came out four years later in 1953. The very title gives away what he's setting up, which is a way of thinking about politics grounded in natural rights versus one based on historical evolution.
