Douglas Adams had the idea of Zayfod Bewabrocks as president of the universe. He said anyone who wants to be president is automatically disqualified from doing it. This refers to an idea called self-selection bias which is basically that politics is comprised of people who say yes I want to be that person so they put themselves forward whereas other people don't.
