Silver Iodide and Cloud-Seeding
There are a handful of cloud-seeding projects scattered across the American West, and then a bunch in California. Santa Barbara County has actually been seeding its clouds with silver iodide for decades. The idea is you can add about 10 percent more snowfall to the watershed over the winter season. A career weather scientist said he's 80 percent confident that it works.
