I think this, the view of racial communities as being homogenous groups has been disastrous. The people that again go back to our Black Lives Matter discussion, the people that it abandons are those at the bottom. And we live in a world in which we tend to look at minorities as belonging to communities and that class is something that applies largely to the white population. But what that does is racialize the concept of class and so you have notions like the white working class where the whiteness seem to matter more than their class location. So I think that view of communities as minorities is forming homogenous communities as being disastrous.
