Is It OK to Do a Leg Extension, Left Leg, and Then Go Back to the Right Leg?

If the central nervous systems fatigued, then it's going to effect which side your training. So i typically do left and then do right, or vice versa. And then still have around about two minutes rest before they go again and and again. With runners that struggle a little bit for time and don't like kind of just sitting around for two to three minutes between sets, or sometimes superset exercises.
