What Inspired You to Write Mindfulness Meditation?
Shana: I discovered mindfulness in meditation at one of the lowest points in my life. When i had emergency surgery because my scoliosis had gotten so severe it was about to puncture my lungs. And when i recovered some years later, i ended up going to tiland and napal to study in the monasteries there. It was my experiences there in the monastery that really inspired me to come back to the us. And spend the past 20 years studying mindfulness and meditation scientifically.
