The Right to Self-Defense

In Texas, it is legal to use deadly force against police if they start the encounter. If someone is using deadly aggressive force against you, you have the right to defend yourself even against a cop. In other words, that's the law for everyone and they are not exempted from that. And that brings up the question I was asked before: Is this when the police show up or whoever, enter your house and start shooting? Or are you expected to be a good citizen and let him kill you? Yeah, lay down and die.
