Do You Think There's Only One Explanation for Dowsing?

There are different theories about how dowsing might work. One of the classic theories is that it's based on some kind of like in the case of water, it might be some kind of electromagnetic sensitivity. Do you think there's only a single explanation for dowsing? I tend to actually try and exclude theories more than trying to find out what the right one is because that's really how you do it.
