We need a more holistic approach which doesn't say we're not rational beings. We all have to believe things that we can't ultimately prove in order to live and so we're all in some sense believing to understand but as I've mentioned before when Augustine sets out to write confessions he starts with this question of where he can find rest, peace and justice. So the intellectual questions can't be kind of in a simplistic way shut off from that or do you know deny it?
