The Role of Radiation Therapy in Rectal Cancer

Repeto trial, which stands for the rectal cancer and preoperative induction therapy followed by dedicated operation trial. The main objective of the Repeto trial was to give chemotherapy upfront in hopes of decreasing distant metastatic disease without compromising local regional control and overall survival. This was a multi-center randomized control phase three trial, also a mouthful. 54 centers participated, a total of 54, most of which were in Europe and then Washington University was the only American site.
