Social psychology research is really clear, groups don't punish members who haven't made up their mind yet. They only punish you when you genuinely are going against the group. And even then, they'll start a communicating more to you. Only the fringe wants to punish you to put a head on a pike to get everyone to shut up. You will see, so many people grab on to that like a life raft riht, the uncertainty. It's unbelievable when you watch it happen. So we don't have to, i do think when we're in people's face, right?
