Hope Is Not Optimism

Bethany is the place where their faith can be reawakened. The priests are defensive, but peter and john are free. They're alive and unafraid and undefensive. So hope is not optimism. Hope is griddy. It's freedom to sing at midnight in a jail cell or to dance like kids in the light of day. And now these three remain, faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
