There is various texts across these three regions which couldn't possibly have been incorporated into the book because they don't have counterparts in the other two regions. That was really my only distance with the warwick research group, who i admire a great deal. I felt that t the ghosts of these various cultural contexts continue to sort of dog any sort of clear development of oer oter of a modern subject. So in the case of myth, for example, em, what emerged was that there was just something very different about the way bengali writers dealt with their myths. There without essentializing er, which couldn't be carried over into turkish or mexican equivalents.
