The Real World Sins of the Church
Dawkins was raised in the Mormon or LDS Church until four years ago. A friend who had left the church opened his eyes to truths about the church that were kept away from him. It's one of the great tragedies, I think, of departing from a religion. You are apt to be disowned by your family if you announce that you have forsaken the religion. If it's Islam, you've forsaken your rep to have your head cut off. Dawkins: Religion has this power to alienate people from their families just simply from a disagreement.
