The Riches of Letters to Children
David Dowling is a well-known Lewis scholar. He found that in letters to children, David was gleaning a lot of details that he put in his scholarly books. Marge: What strikes me is how Lewis is very aware of audience. In the early letters, he sounds like he's talking to a little girl,. But in later letters, he's advising her how to improve her poetry.
