Stuart Butterfield, the founder of Glitch, shut down his gaming company. He realized that he was going to lose $6 million in capital if they kept acquiring users at their current rate. The game had been running for 31 weeks and wasn't breaking even. But it's actually a success story because butterfield created an internal communications tool called Slack which is now used by many other companies.
