I think there's something about like making your own life the anchor, even if you stray from that that I think keeps it honest in some way. And when I find books where I'm most excited sometimes by writers who write autobiographically but nothing big happens is almost just like they're inviting you to into a week in their life. Well, and on a related note, like there's a level I think what we're talking about is candor and an aspect of your book that I found really well done and interesting has to do with its descriptions of the body and the grotesque and sexuality. The body can be funny too.
