Is Tishabuv Working?

The rabbis sought answers to the question, what was the fatal sin of the jewish people that led to the destruction of the temple and the exile of israel from our land. The most famous answer, which actually also turned into a slogan, is, sinatrinam, baseless or senseless hatred amongst jews. Clearly, no matter how often we piously repeat the warning against sinatri nam, it just isn't working. How do we encourage a culture of collective introspection in our increasingly polarized society?
