The Different Types of Archaeologists

There are generalists who do all of these things and then there would also be specialists just like in history. So if you've done academic training in archaeology, you will have some exposure to all of these different things. But yes, they're absolutely specialists. There are some people who are really into the digging piece of it. Then there are people who are not big into the digging at all. What they specialize in is the interpretation of finds that's done by archaeologists.
